Clip Studio Paint is an incredibly popular piece of art software. Known as Manga Studio in Japan, the software was originally released in 2001, and is geared toward comic artists. I personally began using Paint around 2019, and it quickly became a favorite. The program has many similarities to Adobe Photoshop, making it quite easy to pick up for anyone who has used the image editing software. It has many built-in comic art brushes and allows users to create, share, and install custom brushes as well. Paint also offers a variety of different pre-set page sizes designed for both regular cartoon art and comic books, allowing users to preview exactly how a page will look before it is printed. I enjoy creating multiple different kinds of cartoons and comics, and Clip Studio Paint is the perfect program to do so.
